Plan a sprint with capacity estimation, story selection against Definition of Ready, dependency mapping, and risk identification. Produces a sprint goal + committed-scope summary with a 15-20% buffer. Use when preparing sprint planning, estimating team capacity, selecting stories, or balancing scope against velocity.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

The output is a committed scope the team can actually hit — not a wish-list. ## Context If the user provides backlogs, velocity data, team rosters, or previous sprint reports, read them first. ## Instructions 1. **Estimate team capacity** - Members and availability (PTO, meetings, on-call). - Historical velocity (avg story points over the last 3 sprints). - **Reserve 15-20% buffer** for bugs, tech debt, and unexpected work. - Compute available capacity in points or ideal hours. 2. **Review and select stories** - Pull from the prioritized backlog, highest priority first. - Verify each meets Definition of Ready (clear AC, estimated, no blockers). - Flag stories needing refinement before they can be committed. …

How to install
mdr add vandanaajaydubey111/great-pm/sprint-planning@sha256:a62f61642ba5dc41The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260721.86de099, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
