Move markdown issues and external-PR requests through triage roles: categorise, verify, grill if needed, and write agent-ready briefs.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Triage Move request files under `.scratch/` through a small state machine of triage roles. There is no external issue tracker; every artifact is a markdown file. Read the layout from `.agents/issue-tracker.md` (written by `/setup`) when the repo has one (`docs/agents/issue-tracker.md` is the legacy path). External pull requests can still be a request surface: **a PR is input that produces a markdown triage file** under `.scratch/` (same roles, same states, same machine, with a few deltas marked "for a PR" below). Notes, briefs, and state live in that file, never on the PR host as the system of record. Every triage note appended to a markdown file **must** start with this disclaimer: ``` > *This was generated by AI during triage.* ``` ## Reference docs - [AGENT-BRIEF.md](AGENT-BRIEF.md): how to write durable agent briefs - [OUT-OF-SCOPE.md](OUT-OF-SCOPE.md), how the `.out-of-scope/` knowledge base works ## Roles Two **category** roles (recorded near the top of the file, e.g. `**Category:** bug`): - `bug`: something is broken - `enhancement`: new feature or improvement Five **state** roles (recorded as `**Status:** <role>`): …

How to install
mdr add leek/agent-skills/triage@sha256:0123b0d3a317d159The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261006.cae3ac3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
