Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Lookbook ## §1 Canonical canvas Lookbook is light-only. The source spec declares a single-polarity warm-beige register with no dark-mode variant. The canvas is `#E3E2DE` — warm neutral beige, very low chroma, hue family near 95 (warm yellow-brown). Foreground ink is `#1B0E0D` — a deep warm brownish-black with measurable red chroma, intentionally warmer than a pure neutral near-black. The register is identity-defined by the *combination* of canvas + a persistent SVG `fractalNoise` grain overlay at 0.08 opacity with `mix-blend-mode: multiply`. The grain reads as paper texture — the canvas without the grain reads as a flat beige fill and loses half the register. The overlay is therefore polarity-locked to this canvas and treated as canonical chrome, not as decorative atmosphere. | Surface | Reference | Canvas | Notes | |---|---|---|---| | All surfaces | spec.md §"Canonical canvas" | `#E3E2DE` warm beige | Single canvas across hero / manifesto / grid / footer. The noise overlay is the canvas's identity-defining sibling and never absent. | …

How to install
mdr add display-dev/skill/claude/skills/visualize/design-systems/lookbook/DESIGN.md@sha256:d9c979f6da1f7439The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.b0c13a7, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
