Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# newsletter-writer Writes recurring newsletter issues. Optimizes for consistent format, distinctive POV, and subscriber retention. Uses the Curiosity Gap (George Loewenstein) to engineer subject lines and Perell's Online Writing framework to discipline every issue to one shiny idea. ## Frameworks ### Curiosity Gap - George Loewenstein Curiosity is triggered when there is a gap between what we know and what we want to know. For a gap to work, it must be: - **Specific enough** to feel real (not vague) - **Small enough** to feel closeable (not overwhelming) - **Valuable enough** to be worth closing (the payoff must be implied) Loewenstein's key finding: curiosity peaks when you know JUST ENOUGH to know what you're missing. Why "5 tips for better writing" fails: you don't know what you're missing. Why "The one email mistake that costs 40% of your opens" works: you know exactly what gap exists. **Subject line formula:** `[Specific thing the reader doesn't know] + [implied payoff if they close the gap]` Examples: - "Why your best email went to spam" - specific gap, implied cost - "The metric 80% of SaaS CMOs ignore" - you don't know which one, but you know it matters …

How to install
mdr add qa-aman/claude-skills/newsletter-writer@sha256:6fde30c141e46990The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260808.7dfb5c7, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
