Captures and documents agent findings as verifiable artifacts — screenshots via agent-browser or playwright-mcp, captured logs, and script output. Use when completing investigations, audits, UI changes, infrastructure tasks, or any task where evidence of actions taken must be preserved.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Proof-of-Work Documentation ## When to Use - "Capture a screenshot after deploying the change." - "Document what you found in the logs." - "Show me proof this worked." - "Save the output of that command." - After any investigation, audit, or multi-step task where a stakeholder needs to verify the outcome. ## When Not to Use - Purely generative tasks (writing code, drafting text) where no external state was observed. - Tasks where the user has explicitly said output or artifacts are not needed. ## Artifact Types | Type | Tool | Use For | |---|---|---| | Screenshot | `agent-browser` or `playwright-mcp` | UI state, browser-rendered output, visual regressions | | Log capture | shell / `ctx_execute` | Terminal output, CI logs, service logs | | Script output | shell / `ctx_execute` | Command results, API responses, test runs | ## Workflow 1. **Identify evidence scope** — determine which artifact type(s) are appropriate for the task. Output: evidence plan (screenshot / log / script output, destination path). 2. **Capture the evidence** — use the appropriate tool (see below). Output: raw artifact saved to disk or embedded in response. …

How to install
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/proof-of-work@sha256:65bdda88a7ff56abThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
