End a work session. Stores durable captures, writes a narrative session log, and automatically applies typed item-level deltas to the current Space Brief. Invoked as `/handoff`.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# /handoff
Close the session with three separate artifacts:
1. A typed update to the daemon-owned Space Brief.
2. Durable MCP captures in that Space.
3. A chronological session log in `~/.wenlan/sessions/`.
It also brings the wiki pages this session used up to date (step 7).
The daemon Brief is current-work authority. Its
`~/.wenlan/sessions/_status/<space>.md` projection is a one-way human receipt.
Never read, edit, or overwrite that receipt as authority.

If the user passed a Space name (`/handoff <space>`), pass it as
`--arg <space>` to resolve-space.sh.

How to install
mdr add wenlan-app/wenlan/handoff@sha256:7e79531e882819f3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261020.754f06a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
