Create, modify, and render Remotion React video projects in the current Astravia conversation workspace. Use for requests to make programmatic videos, motion graphics, animated explainers, social videos, data videos, or to edit an existing Remotion composition and export it as MP4.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Remotion Video
Treat the current workspace root as the Remotion project. Do not create another project directory inside it.
## Workflow
1. Inspect `package.json`, `src/`, `public/`, and existing compositions before editing.
2. If no project exists, create a standard TypeScript Remotion project directly in the workspace root.
3. Install dependencies with `npm install`. Astravia Desktop guarantees managed Node and npm; do not assume Bun is available to the packaged app.
4. Build or edit compositions using normal Remotion React APIs.
5. Call `render_remotion_video` with the exact Composition id after the source is complete.
6. Report the returned `out/*.mp4` path. Do not claim the render succeeded unless the tool returns `ok: true`.
## New project baseline
Use exact matching Remotion versions. The supported baseline is `4.0.507`:

How to install
mdr add maomaochong-ai/open-astravia/remotion-video@sha256:15a7798a88a3d9e7The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261001.0ce1911, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
