Monitor health across configured service endpoints, CI pipelines, and critical issues. Automatically invoked during session-start when ecosystem-health is enabled in Session Config.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Ecosystem Health Check
## Platform-native (CC 2.1.105+)
This skill's watcher is registered as a plugin monitor via `.claude-plugin/plugin.json`'s `experimental.monitors` reference to `monitors/monitors.json`. Each session that loads this plugin auto-starts the watcher in the background (see `scripts/lib/ecosystem-health.mjs`). Each NDJSON stdout line from the watcher becomes a `<task_notification>` event Claude sees mid-session.
For harness < 2.1.105 (no monitor support), the skill's manual probes documented below serve as the fallback path.
## Session Config Fields Used
This skill reads from the project's `## Session Config` section in the platform instruction file:
- **`health-endpoints`** — list of `{name, url}` objects for service health checks. Parsed
content-scoped by `scripts/lib/config/health-endpoints.mjs` (#1174), which accepts the nested
block form this wizard writes (below), an inline object array, and a bare list of URLs — see
`docs/session-config-reference.md` § VCS & Infrastructure for the full form table.
- **`cross-repos`** — list of related repositories for critical issue scanning

How to install
mdr add kanevry/session-orchestrator/ecosystem-health@sha256:40da223580f17d0dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260902.a019d5a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
