Build, run and debug the manual local E2E environment under `e2e/docker/`, a compose stack of the product's real middleware (system of record, cache and job queue, event transport, read model, object storage, edge, identity provider, IAP stand-in, cloud API), its own seed set, and the `up` / `start` / `seed` / `clean` / `down` scripts that drive it. Stated per component role, so any stack maps onto it. Use also when adding E2E seed data. Verifying behavior inside it is out of scope.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Build E2E Test Environment A skill for building the local environment in which **the whole stack is real**: the application runs against the actual components it talks to in production — the real store its writes land in, the real queue its background work goes through, the real transport its change events travel over, the real derived store its screens read from — instead of against fakes. It exists so a developer can exercise the product **by hand, through its UI**, against components that behave like the deployed ones. **Building that foundation is the entire scope.** What to check once the environment is up — which screens, which flows, which cases — is the operator's business and is deliberately not covered here. Nor does this environment hold any automated tests: the unit test tree and how it is run belong to the project's backend test-placement convention, and the two never touch ([§2](#2-where-the-e2e-environment-lives)). > **The component set used throughout this skill is an example, not a requirement.** Every rule is > stated for a **role** in the system; the stack the examples are written in — relational database …

How to install
mdr add openreachtech/hora-skills-ort-renchan/hor-build-e2e-test-environment@sha256:8806fcc1a2b82dd0The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.a9876a7, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
