Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# GitHub Skill
Use the `gh` CLI to interact with GitHub. Always specify `--repo owner/repo` when not in a git directory, or use URLs directly.
## Pull Requests
Check CI status on a PR:

gh pr checks 55 --repo owner/repo
```
List recent workflow runs:
```bash
gh run list --repo owner/repo --limit 10
```
View a run and see which steps failed:
```bash
gh run view <run-id> --repo owner/repo
```
View logs for failed steps only:
```bash
gh run view <run-id> --repo owner/repo --log-failed
```
## API for Advanced Queries
The `gh api` command is useful for accessing data not available through other subcommands.
Get PR with specific fields:
```bash
gh api repos/owner/repo/pulls/55 --jq '.title, .state, .user.login'
```
## JSON Output
Most commands support `--json` for structured output. You can use `--jq` to filter:
```bash
gh issue list --repo owner/repo --json number,title --jq '.[] | "\(.number): \(.title)"'
```
The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260228.006a06f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
