GraphQL API design and implementation. Use when building GraphQL APIs, designing schemas, implementing resolvers, or optimizing GraphQL performance.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# GraphQL Expert
Comprehensive guide for designing and implementing GraphQL APIs.
## GraphQL Fundamentals
### What is GraphQL?
```
GraphQL is a query language for APIs that:
✓ Lets clients request exactly what they need
✓ Gets multiple resources in one request
✓ Uses a type system to describe data
✓ Provides introspection (self-documenting)
GraphQL vs REST:
┌─────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ REST: Multiple endpoints, fixed shapes │
│ GET /users/1 │
│ GET /users/1/posts │
│ GET /users/1/followers │
├─────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ GraphQL: Single endpoint, flexible │
│ POST /graphql │
│ query { user(id: 1) { │
│ name │
│ posts { title } │
│ followers { name } │
│ }} │
└─────────────────────────────────────────┘
```
---
## Schema Design
### Type System
```graphql
# Scalar Types (built-in)
String, Int, Float, Boolean, ID
# Custom Scalar
scalar DateTime
scalar JSON
# Object Type
type User {
id: ID!
email: String!
How to install
mdr add travisjneuman/.claude/graphql-expert@sha256:697ec1f5e92438faThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260113.90b2d6e, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
