Create, test, evaluate, and improve Claude skills — and answer questions about how skills work. Use for "create a skill", "make a skill for", "write a SKILL.md", "turn this into a skill", "run evals", "test/benchmark my skill", "optimize my skill description", "improve triggering", "A/B test my skill", "blind comparison", packaging for distribution, editing an existing skill, or reviewing skill quality. Also for a single narrow question about skill mechanics, however small — referencing a…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Skill Creator Plus A skill for creating new skills, iteratively improving them, and answering questions about how skills work. The loop: decide what the skill should do → draft it → run test prompts with the skill → help the user evaluate the results, qualitatively (the eval viewer) and quantitatively (benchmarks) → rewrite from their feedback → repeat, then expand the test set. Figure out where the user is in this loop and join them there: "I want a skill for X" starts at the top; an existing draft jumps straight to eval/iterate. Order is flexible; once the skill is done you can run the description improver to sharpen its triggering. **Before running any test case, read `references/running-evals.md`.** Calibrate jargon to the person: "evaluation" and "benchmark" are borderline but OK; explain "JSON" or "assertion" unless they've shown they know them. If you're unsure a term will land, define it briefly in passing. …

How to install
mdr add yaniv-golan/skill-creator-plus/skill-creator-plus@sha256:07ad4e421db5a0e6The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.16.2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
