Use when page or .py needs file search, disk-usage/file-type breakdowns, or SQL over filesystem — fused.fileIndex, not fs walks.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # The file index **Full fused-render only.** The standalone Render App (`fused-render-app`) has no index: `fused.fileIndex` throws `fileIndex is not supported on Render App` and the HTTP routes below 404. On Render App (system prompt says so, `.fused` bundle, folder under `~/Fused/local/`, or that throw) stop here — walk in the `.py` with caching, or move the app to full fused-render (`fused-render-authoring`, Render App paragraph). fused-render keeps parquet index of filesystem (one row per file, one per dir). Read it, don't `os.walk`/`find`/per-row stat. How to install
mdr add fusedio/fused-render/fused-render-index@sha256:d1e823571c3c1969The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260930.5b76139, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
