Find the unknowns before they find the work — a read-only territory pass that surfaces the questions nobody knew to ask, judgment taught before a choice is extracted, and a quiz that catches the user's map up with what actually changed. Use when work enters territory the user calls unfamiliar, when the user is confirming a choice they can't evaluate, or when the user asks what they're missing or wants to be quizzed before accepting built work.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Blindspot The map — your prompt, your plan, your glossary — is not the territory: the codebase, its history, its real constraints. The gap between them is the unknowns, and an unknown left unfound doesn't stay unfound: the diff review finds it, or production does. The concept: **go look, at the three moments the gap is widest.** - **Before unfamiliar work** — walk the territory, read-only, as a fresh frontier-tier subagent: hunting unknown unknowns is judgment, not reading, and the fresh context means the main session consumes the report instead of re-walking the files. The task message carries the area to walk, that the walk is read-only, that no taxonomy limits what counts, and that every finding carries its evidence and a pothole is found, never manufactured, because the subagent sees none of this skill and knows only what the message says. The code, its tests, its history — where it bit last time is the best predictor of where it bites next. Report whatever matters — questions nobody thought to ask, what "good" looks like here, potholes, a sharper ask; no taxonomy limits what counts. Every finding carries its evidence, and potholes are found, never manufactured. …

How to install
mdr add donald-ada/workinggenius/blindspot@sha256:b4704c882d0ef4baThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260925.8d07e01, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
