Text-to-speech through pannelai. Covers POST /api/v1/audio/speech, the voice catalog at GET /api/v1/audio/voices, the bytes-versus-base64 response choice, and the per-provider adapters. Use when a client needs spoken audio from the gateway.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The answer is audio bytes with an `audio/...` content type, so a client writes the body to a file rather
than parsing it as JSON.

## Ask for base64 instead of bytes
Add `?response_format=json` to the query string and the same audio comes back as JSON:

Use this when the client cannot write a binary body, for example inside a tool call that has to return
text. Without the query parameter the response is raw bytes.

How to install
mdr add rusmanadodi2598/pannelai/pannelai-tts@sha256:d4ce6aa2cd59537cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260921.f081339, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
