Verify an implemented change by mapping intended behavior to executable checks, running those checks, and handing off concrete evidence and gaps. Use when asked to verify agent-generated code, prove a change works, or prepare a verification handoff when code volume exceeds human reading capacity. This is implementation verification; use codex-review for an adversarial Codex review of Opus-generated code.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Verify Change Give the implementation agent a way to check its work and give the human evidence they can evaluate. The output is a verification handoff for a specific code state, not a code-review verdict or permission to merge. ## Establish intent and scope Read the request, the changed code, and the project's guidance and existing checks. Identify the intended behavior and the boundaries it must preserve. Use the user's PR, commit range, or paths when supplied; otherwise identify the active change and state its scope. Resolve an ambiguous scope before claiming coverage. Record the baseline and head commit where available, plus relevant staged, unstaged, and untracked files. For a dirty checkout, preserve enough local diff or content identity to distinguish the tested state from a later edit. Do not commit, reset, or clean the checkout to make verification easier. This skill can be used by the agent that wrote the code. It does not run Codex, dispatch adversarial reviewers, or invoke codex-review. If independent review is also requested, hand off the verification record separately; that review remains a distinct activity. ## Map behavior to evidence …

How to install
mdr add augchan42/inkstone/verify-change@sha256:926eec64ff1c6a62The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261022.bfab61c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
