Take a GitHub issue onto the branch — export the thread and its attachments, commit them, and hand the number back to whoever called. Invoke as `/take-issue <number|url>`; its callers are `/task`, `/plan` and `/go`, each running it first when the prompt carries a `#<N>`.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
End state of this skill: `docs/issue/<n>/` holds the thread and its attachments, that export is committed on the branch, you have read it, and control is back with the caller — which is where every decision about the work is made. This skill decides nothing. It is the one place an issue gets pulled onto a branch, so its contract to its callers is that the issue has been **taken**: exported, committed, and there for a later session to re-read. ## Argument shape The argument is an issue number or a full issue URL, optionally with prose around it — `fix the sidebar scroll #847` is the same invocation as `847`. How to install
mdr add vzakharov/muthur/take-issue@sha256:a5789f46a7928a01The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.0f16275, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
