Use the person's own signed-in Chrome from the command line, in background tabs, through Chrome Relay. Load this BEFORE any browser step that needs their logins (internal tools, Google-SSO apps, GitHub, admin consoles, staging environments, OAuth consent screens, sign-ins with the 1Password vaults they allowed: passwords, 2-step codes, passkeys) or when they say "check it in the browser", "open it logged in", "click through", "use my Chrome". Never drive their Chrome any other way.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Chrome Relay Chrome Relay lets Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Paseo agents drive **background tabs** in the person's everyday Chrome, with their real logins. Your tabs open inactive in a collapsed "Agents" tab group, you only see and control tabs you opened, and nothing on their screen moves. Tens of milliseconds per command. ```bash export CHROME_RELAY_SESSION=<your-agent-name> # one session per agent chrome-relay identities # which profile (email) to use for what chrome-relay open https://example.internal/ --profile you@company.com # the first open starts your session chrome-relay snapshot # the page's controls, each with a ref like @e5 (text, cheap) chrome-relay fill @e3 "text"; chrome-relay click @e5; chrome-relay wait "text:Saved" chrome-relay get text main; chrome-relay screenshot shot.png chrome-relay close --all # ALWAYS when done: closes your tabs ``` For anything more than a click or two, use `chrome-relay do "<goal>" --data ... --until ...` (below). A target is a ref from your last snapshot (`@e5`), a control's whole label (`"Save"`, or `button:Save` when …

How to install
mdr add aindeev/agent-chrome-relay/chrome-relay@sha256:32855eaf0a84e82cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261023.335a4cf, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
