Configure the browser tool for Clacky. Guides the user through Chrome or Edge setup, verifies the connection, and writes ~/.clacky/browser.yml. Supports macOS, Linux, and WSL (Windows Chrome/Edge via remote debugging). Trigger on: "browser setup", "setup browser", "配置浏览器", "browser config", "browser doctor". Subcommands: setup, doctor.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Browser Setup Skill
Configure the browser tool for Clacky. Config is stored at `~/.clacky/browser.yml`.
## Region-Aware Download Links
Whenever you show the user a link to download or upgrade Chrome/Edge, pick the right one for their region instead of always using google.com.
Treat the user as **in China** when any of these is true:
- The user is talking to you in Chinese
- The system locale is Chinese (`echo $LANG` contains `zh_CN` / `zh_`)
- A previous run of `install_browser.sh` reported `Region: china` (visible in its output)
- `curl -s --max-time 3 https://www.google.com -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}"` returns `000` while baidu.com works
Use these links accordingly:

How to install
mdr add clacky-ai/openclacky/browser-setup@sha256:50c768b9a83a8718The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260928.5326d06, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
