Curate shell-command snippets with the pypet CLI — create, find, edit, run and alias them on request, including proposing one from commands that recur in shell history.

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

What the file says

# Pypet Snippets

Curate [pypet](https://github.com/fabiandistler/pypet) command snippets
through its CLI. pypet is a small snippet manager: it stores named
shell commands with descriptions, tags and parameters as plain TOML. The CLI
installs as `pypet-cli`, not `pypet`. Only call its CLI — never modify its package and never hand-edit
its store.

## When to use

- Someone asks to save a command as a snippet ("save this as a snippet",
  "create a snippet").
- Someone asks which of their recurring commands deserve a snippet — propose
candidates from the sources below, never create one unconfirmed.

## Workflow

1. **Check presence first**: run `command -v pypet`. If pypet is missing,
say `uv tool install pypet-cli` and stop before continuing.
2. **Dedup first**: run `pypet search "<keyword>"` and `pypet list` before
proposing anything. If a matching snippet exists, point at it instead of
   creating one.
3. **Propose and wait**: show the command, a one-line description,
lowercase comma-separated tags, and parameters with defaults where the
command varies (ports, paths, image names). Redact literal tokens,
…

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add fabiandistler/agents/pypet-snippets@sha256:63a76ddd70a4f3f1

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261023.2374a31, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
