Use when the project has a symbion store (the session-start summary names it) and this session learns, decides, finds broken, leaves undone or asks something a later session will need. Also when asked what is open or what the last session left, at a session's end (wrap, handoff), for a checklist across many files (an arc), on /symbion, or when adopting symbion in a project. Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # symbion A notebook and ticket registry for this project. An entry is a dated body by an author, on one or more objects: a commit, a file, an item, an arc or the project. Entries are read and written only through `symbion`, and live in a git repo beside the project. A store has several writers: you, the user (at a terminal or in a browser), other agents, other sessions. A session starts on the summary of what is open (`symbion summary`; a hook prints it), and ends with a store commit whose message is the next session's handoff. `symbion` is on PATH. `symbion -h` lists the verbs, and `symbion VERB -h` a verb's flags. A command finds its store by `--dir PATH`, else `$SYMBION_DIR`, else a `.symbion` file in the repo root naming it, else `../<repo>-notes`. A store outside your writable workspace needs the runtime's approval or the user's permission: a `.symbion` pointer grants none. A new store in a project with history starts from `adoption.md`, beside this file. ## Entries An entry has a kind, a target, a body, an author and a time. How to install
mdr add phreakocious/symbion/symbion@sha256:60888f3b31c7006cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261023.8ae54d5, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
