Detail or refine a story: acceptance criteria, subtasks, gates. Works on a backlog stub or a story already in a release.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
> Invoke with `$archflow-groom`. Arguments are the text after the mention. Arguments: `[story-id]` # $archflow-groom — Detail or refine a story Argument (`the text the user wrote after the skill mention`): optional story id (e.g. `S2-11`). Empty → list stubs and ask which to groom. Grooming turns a bare stub (title + one line) into a `ready` story with acceptance criteria, subtasks, and gates, and **refines a story that is already in a release** when its scope turns out to be wrong. It is the canonical description of *how a story gets detailed* — `release.md` (feature-planner Mode B) and the phase-3 pull-forward both defer here rather than restating it. Grooming refines scope. It does NOT commit the story to a release or start a build — those stay separate on purpose, so a story can be made ready without anyone deciding when to ship it. ## Usage ``` $archflow-groom → list stubs in backlog.yaml, ask which to groom $archflow-groom S2-11 → groom that story, wherever it lives ``` **Two modes, chosen by where the story is, not by an argument.** A backlog story is groomed into …

How to install
mdr add azidan/archflow/archflow-groom@sha256:338f2b4089ed6af3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260911.a26fb9f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
