Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Second Brain Starter Kit > A second brain and persistent memory for Claude Code and Codex: 234 skills shipped as a plugin marketplace, an opt-in memory server (sqlite-graph-memory over your own markdown notes), a markdown CRM engine with demo data, vault templates and a seed message for the first session. The method, not the data: every example is fictional. MIT, no telemetry. Who it is for: someone who wants an agent that keeps habits and memory across months, and an agent bootstrapping such a system for its own operator on a machine the authors have never seen. Not a hosted product; everything runs locally. ## Install - Any agent that reads skills: `npx skills add tonydzi/second-brain-starter-kit` - Claude Code: `/plugin marketplace add tonydzi/second-brain-starter-kit`, then `/plugin install second-brain-skills@second-brain` - Memory (optional, about 2 GB on first start): `/plugin install second-brain-memory@second-brain`. It registers the `sgm-mcp` MCP server and asks for `BRAIN_INDEX_DIR`, the folder built by `uvx --from 'sqlite-graph-memory[embeddings]' sgm-index <notes folder>`. …

How to install
mdr add tonydzi/second-brain-starter-kit/llms.txt@sha256:0643fa0678ae8837The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261020.9b15f93, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
