Stop routing Claude Code through context-guru — remove the ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL key it added, stop the local proxy, and optionally delete the binary. Use when the user asks to uninstall, remove, disable, turn off, or stop context-guru, or says routing through it is breaking their sessions.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Uninstall context-guru
Undo is the promise the install made, so it has to work on the first try and in the order
below. **Remove the routing before stopping the proxy** — the other way round leaves a window
where sessions are pointed at a port with nothing behind it, and every request in that window
fails.
If the user is here because something is broken, do step 1 first and explain afterwards.
**If they are here because Claude could not talk at all, they got here by luck** — the routing this
skill removes is what breaks the session that would run it. There is a plain-sh escape hatch for
that, installed outside the plugin at
`${XDG_STATE_HOME:-$HOME/.local/state}/context-guru/context-guru-reset` (also on `PATH` as
`context-guru-reset` when `~/.local/bin` is there). It restores every settings file the install
edited from a copy taken before the first edit, and needs no Claude, no network and no proxy. Point
at it when a user reports being stuck, and prefer it to this skill for anyone who is currently
locked out — it is `cp`, where this skill is a conversation.

How to install
mdr add rossoctl/context-guru/uninstall@sha256:c7781b5db80fbef0The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260930.81e4da9, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
