An agent-native CLI for SEC EDGAR — six sanctioned endpoints, SQLite-cached filings with FTS5, and LODESTAR-shaped... Trigger phrases: `primary sources for <ticker>`, `insider summary <ticker>`, `recheck delta for <ticker>`, `eightk items <ticker>`, `xbrl pivot`, `use edgar-pp-cli`, `run edgar`.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # SEC EDGAR — Printing Press CLI
## Prerequisites: Install the CLI
This skill drives the `edgar-pp-cli` binary. **You must verify the CLI is installed before invoking any command from this skill.** If it is missing, install it first:
1. Install via the Printing Press installer. It defaults binaries to `$HOME/.local/bin` on macOS/Linux and `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\PrintingPress\bin` on Windows:

```
2. Verify: `edgar-pp-cli --version`
3. Ensure the reported install directory is on `$PATH` for the agent/runtime that will invoke this skill.
If the `npx` install fails (no Node, offline, etc.), fall back to a direct Go install (requires Go 1.26.6 or newer):

How to install
mdr add mvanhorn/printing-press-library/pp-edgar@sha256:b5fc443eb89b1988The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260817.d5a007c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
