Implement distributed tracing with Jaeger and Tempo to track requests across microservices and identify performance bottlenecks. Use when debugging microservices, analyzing request flows, or implementing observability for distributed systems.

## Distributed Tracing Concepts
### Trace Structure

How to install
mdr add hermeticormus/libreuiux-claude-code/distributed-tracing@sha256:0373b1f4efea5f06The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20251120.288a379, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
