Launch a Scout dreaming session as a background process. Processes feedback, does KB deep work, and works on wishlist items.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. What the file says
Launch a SCOUT dreaming session as a background process on this machine. Do the following steps: 1. Run `nohup bash ~/Scout/run-dreaming.sh > /dev/null 2>&1 &` to launch the dreaming session in the background. Capture the PID. 2. Find the most recent log file: `ls -t ~/Scout/.scout-logs/dreaming-*.log | head -1` 3. Report to the user: - Confirm the dreaming session is running and show the PID - Show the log file path so they can tail it if they want: `tail -f <log_file>` - Remind them that dreaming typically takes 10-15 minutes and covers: feedback processing (Slack reactions/replies), KB deep work (file scoring and targeted improvements), wishlist items, and a Slack summary DM when done.

How to install
mdr add raven-scout/scout-plugin/scout-dream@sha256:5babf747fb587b2fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260928.1f304bf, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
