Write concise algorithm/interview code (e.g. LeetCode solutions) with a numbered "footer notes" block instead of inline comments, so the code stays clean but the reasoning behind non-obvious lines is preserved. Use this skill whenever the user asks to solve a coding problem, write a LeetCode/HackerRank/interview-style solution, or explicitly asks for "footer notes", "footnote comments", or code that's "concise but explained". Also use it when the user asks to add this style of documentation to…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Footer Note Comments A commenting style for short, self-contained algorithm solutions (LeetCode-style problems, coding interview practice, small scripts). The code stays dense and readable top-to-bottom; the "why" for tricky lines lives in a numbered footer block below the code instead of crowding the logic with inline comments. The point isn't decoration — it's so that future-you (or someone else) can reread the code in 30 seconds and remember *why* a non-obvious line was written that way, without having to re-derive the reasoning from scratch. ## When to use this Use this style by default whenever writing a solution to a coding problem — especially algorithmic ones with a "trick" (two pointers, sliding window, DP, greedy proofs, bit tricks, etc.) where some lines aren't self-explanatory just from reading them. Don't use it for boilerplate-heavy code, production code with a team style guide, or code where every line is already obvious — the footer would just be noise. ## The template ``` <code with numbered markers on select lines, e.g. `# [1]`, `# [2]`> # ============================================================================== # FOOTER NOTES …

How to install
mdr add abduldevhub/agent-skills-factory/footer-note-comments@sha256:d54c9b21a5fb4f01The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260809.62afb46, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
