Read the current MSX screen from the attached machine's PNG and preserve its frame identity when identifying prompts, dates, menus or visible changes.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Call the attached Add-on's `masc_msx_screen` once to observe without sending input or advancing time. Read the PNG image in that tool result together with its structured observation and frame number. Focus on the requested visible text or pixels; mark unreadable characters rather than guessing. Bitmap `screen_text` is name-table data, not OCR of the image. Describe the captured frame, not an assumed current state: another player may advance the shared machine while you interpret it. Preserve the frame number and the tool result as evidence. After further input, capture again before confirming the state. Watching does not establish driving ownership. If the current model cannot read the returned image, report that limitation and retain the observation; do not invent an artifact handle or infer the screen from game knowledge. If the tool is unavailable or the Add-on was detached, report that no fresh observation was obtained.
Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add jeong-sik/masc/msx-observe@sha256:b10ea474e9515694The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.17e9bb6, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
