Authors tests against Auth0 - uses tenant isolation strategy (per-PR tenant or shared dev tenant with namespaced data); exercises Universal Login + auth-code-with-PKCE + client-credentials + RO-password (legacy) flows; tests Action scripts (Auth0's serverless extension hooks); tests Rules / Hooks (deprecated but still common); integrates with Auth0 Deploy CLI (`a0deploy`) for environment parity. Use when the user works with Auth0 SaaS and needs unit / integration tests for tenant config, auth…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# auth0-tests ## Overview Tests against an Auth0 tenant fall into three layers: 1. **Tenant-level config** - connections, clients, APIs, tenants themselves; tested via Auth0 Deploy CLI for env parity. 2. **Auth flow** - tested by exercising the OIDC endpoints from the application against a dev tenant. 3. **Custom serverless code** - Actions (current), Rules + Hooks (legacy); unit-tested in Node.js with the Auth0 SDK mocks. ## When to use - The repo uses Auth0 as IdP. - The team has multiple environments (dev / staging / prod) needing config parity. - Custom Actions / Rules need unit-test coverage. - Auth flow regression suites need to run pre-deploy. ## How to use 1. Pick a tenant strategy (Step 1): per-PR tenant for tenant-config tests, mocked OIDC for fast app-side flow tests. 2. Export the source tenant with `a0deploy` and commit the YAML as fixtures for the config-drift check (Step 2). 3. Exercise the OIDC token endpoint for the grants the app uses - client-credentials for M2M, Universal Login via Playwright for interactive flows (Step 3). 4. Unit-test each Action handler by calling `onExecutePostLogin` …

How to install
mdr add testland/qa/auth0-tests@sha256:a0e6fee23f2bcad5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260726.19ddd36, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
