resurface SKILL.md skillA
resurface from fergana-labs/stash is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Pick a few old saves worth revisiting now, and say why now.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Resurfacing old saves
The home feed already resurfaces saved items at random. Doing that again adds
nothing. The whole value here is **why now** — the connection between
something the user saved months ago and what they are doing this week.
If you cannot find that connection for an item, do not resurface it. Three
items with a real reason beat ten without.
## Find candidates
Old saves, from the **Bookmarks** table:
```
query_table(table_name="Bookmarks",
filters=[{"column_id": "<Saved>", "op": "lte", "value": "<90 days ago>"}],
limit=100)
```
## Find the reason
This is the part a bookmark manager cannot do, and it is the only reason this
skill is worth running. Look at what the user has actually been doing:
- `search_history` / `fetch_history` — what they have been working on lately
- recent saves — what they are reading about now
- their memory wiki — standing interests
Then look for old saves that speak to it: an article they saved before a
problem became relevant, a technique they bookmarked and never used, a
counter-argument to a position they have since adopted.
## Write it
Two to four items. For each:
…Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add fergana-labs/stash/resurface@sha256:302b6bb8e747ad15The line at the top of this page pins the label v1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
