Help a developer report a GAIA TUI, WebUI or agent problem, explicitly share a snapshot with Claude Code or Codex through MCP, and validate isolated worktree fixes.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Developer handoff This skill is enabled by the host only in developer mode. Start only when the developer reports a problem or requests an improvement. Do not automatically assess friction or start coding. Keep GAIA available for daily work. 1. Clarify expected and observed behavior. Use `engineering_status` without a job ID to inspect source-cache initialization and coding-app setup. Surface failures and connection instructions; do not claim connection or task launch merely because the app exists. 2. Select `claude` or `codex` with the developer. Prepare a concise summary and selected evidence. Do not collect entire histories, unrelated files or credentials. `share_engineering_context` shows the exact summary and context and requests fresh approval before the selected coding app can read them. The app may use a cloud provider; its existing filesystem permissions remain independent of this bridge. Never use shell, file tools or another MCP tool to bypass this approval. How to install
mdr add amd/gaia/gaia-harness-engineering@sha256:c4131ff13beefda6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260929.c54ebdf, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
