Session and month-to-date cost from transcripts — cost completed sessions, read the anchored budget, explain where the money went. Only active when the cost module is enabled (cost.enabled in agenticos.json after `aos cost enable`); otherwise explain how to enable it. Use when the user asks "how much did this cost", "cost the last session", "what's my spend this month", "$agenticos:cost", or "backfill costs".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Cost
The cost module is opt-in. **First** read `cost.enabled` in
`${CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR:-~/.claude}/agenticos.json`.
- **Disabled or absent** → answer: the cost module is off; enabling it needs python3 ≥ 3.9 and one command, `aos cost enable [--budget <usd>]` (it copies the transcript analyzer into `<vault>/brain/scripts/cost/`, flips the flag, and records the monthly budget in `brain/config.json`). Then stop. Do not estimate costs by hand.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
