Turn a Protocol-compatible specification or product intent into schema-compatible OpenPlanr stories and implementation tasks. Use for planning and decomposition, not implementation.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# OpenPlanr Plan Turn a decision-complete specification or clear product request into implementation-ready stories and tasks. Perform the reasoning in this active coding session. Do not delegate semantic planning to a command-line or model subprocess. Plan ends with a Ship handoff; it never starts implementation automatically. ## Resolve context directly Read the strongest available inputs: 1. the request and selected specification; 2. repository instructions (`AGENTS.md`, `CLAUDE.md`, or equivalents), ADRs, planning rules, and active stack files named by the repository; 3. relevant implementation code, tests, package scripts, and CI configuration; 4. design inputs and design specifications when a browser surface is involved; 5. the database schema or persistence code when data behavior is involved. Use repository-local conventions first. Missing legacy `input/` or `.planr/` paths do not block a clear request. State what was unavailable and continue when the remaining context is sufficient. How to install
mdr add openplanr/openplanr/planr-plan@sha256:ee27dc8136cada6fThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.e49d598, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
