Run the full Django verification loop — environment check, mypy and ruff checks, migration safety, pytest with coverage targets, pip-audit and bandit security scans, settings and logging review, and diff review — producing a phased pass/fail report before release or PR. Use when preparing a Django pull request, validating migrations or coverage, or running pre-deploy readiness checks.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Django Verification Loop
Run before PRs, after major changes, and pre-deploy to ensure Django application quality and security.
## When to Activate
- Before opening a pull request for a Django project
- After major model changes, migration updates, or dependency upgrades
- Pre-deployment verification for staging or production
- Running full environment → lint → test → security → deploy readiness pipeline
- Validating migration safety and test coverage
## Phase 1: Environment Check
```bash
# Verify Python version
uv run python --version # Should match requires-python in pyproject.toml
# Check the environment is in sync with uv.lock
uv sync --locked
uv pip list --outdated
# Verify environment variables
uv run python -c "import os; print('DJANGO_SECRET_KEY set' if os.environ.get('DJANGO_SECRET_KEY') else 'MISSING: DJANGO_SECRET_KEY')"
```
If environment is misconfigured, stop and fix.
## Phase 2: Code Quality & Formatting
```bash
# Type checking (mypy is in the opt-in `agents` group: uv sync --group agents)
uv run mypy . --config-file pyproject.toml
# Linting with ruff (import sorting included via the "I" rules)
uv run ruff check . --fix
# Formatting with ruff
How to install
mdr add skateddu/claude-code-python-setup/django-verification@sha256:c058c0651e43d6c1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.44e9225, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
