onboard SKILL.md skillA
onboard from itsomidkarami/kraft is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add itsomidkarami/kraft/onboard@git:20261012.d18b384Pins git:20261012.d18b384 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Connects a repository to Kraft and verifies that its test and setup commands work in a fresh worktree. Use when a repo is not yet connected to Kraft, or a newly connected repo has not been verified. Config drift in an onboarded repo belongs to kraft:check, an unhealthy server to kraft:doctor.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Kraft's tools come from the `kraft` MCP server. If `kraft` is not on PATH, this
plugin has been installed without the program it drives: say so and point at
https://kraft-sdlc.dev/get-started/install rather than reporting a
connection error.
# Onboarding a repo
Four steps (connect, register, rehearse, verify), each followed by a check
against the repo itself — a zero exit code says the command ran, not that what
it did was right. Then hand off to `kraft:check`.
1. **Connect.** Read how the repo says to build and test itself before you
connect it: its README, CONTRIBUTING, agent instructions (`CLAUDE.md`,
`AGENTS.md`) and CI config. Look for the command a contributor is told to
run, and any rule that the raw runner must not be called directly.
Then `ensure_repo()` (or `kraft repo connect [PATH]` from a terminal). It
proposes a test and a setup command from the repo's own committed files
(origin's default branch, so a change not pushed yet is not read), best
evidence first:
- a task runner's `test`/`setup` task (justfile, Makefile, Taskfile, mise,
`script/test`)
- the toolchain its lockfile names (pnpm, Poetry, Gradle, Cargo, ...)
…Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add itsomidkarami/kraft/onboard@sha256:717391cebc8022ddThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261012.d18b384, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
