# Jira Comment Post one comment on a Jira ticket in house style, after showing the draft. ## Requirements An accessible Jira issue/comment reader and a separately authorized comment writer. The [mcp-server-atlassian-jira](https://github.com/aashari/mcp-server-atlassian-jira) server named `jira` is one adapter; native harness tools may provide the same capabilities with different schemas. ## Usage ``` /jira-comment SP-123 deployed to staging, ready for QA /jira-comment SP-123 # ask what to say ``` ## Instructions ### 1. Gather context Use an already exposed reader after inspecting its schema. `jira_get_issue` can include comments; verify their ordering/completeness before calling them recent. The generic adapter examples below are not arguments for native tools. For missing capabilities, use discovery **if exposed**. In Claude Code, `ToolSearch` with `query: "select:mcp__jira__jira_get"` loads the deferred reader schema. In Pi/Codex, use only an exposed discovery facility's own schema; do not assume Pi provides MCP or `ToolSearch`. Discover once per missing capability, then call only a matching available tool.
