Record the completed Context knowledge iteration when the workspace Route selects this action.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Run `context version inspect --format json`. Read the changed formal files and the current conversation to write a concise reader-facing changelog. The CLI checks real changes and an increasing SemVer; you decide the wording and impact. Do not summarize temporary execution progress as knowledge changes. This action is selected at completed-scope delivery, after Review, Close and package configuration/template approval and website translation, before the final package build. Record one version for the completed scope, then follow the returned workspace Route to build outputs with that version. A failed build alone does not require another version; retry through the Route using the recorded version. Do not record a version for each intermediate batch or worker result. Keep each version's details within 1500 visible characters total, including punctuation across title, changes, trigger descriptions and actor display name; exclude protocol keys, version and date. Before submitting, compress longer entries by merging related changes and removing repeated execution narration. Retain the main changes, impact and actual triggers. Do not truncate text blindly …

How to install
mdr add context4ai/context/record-workspace-version@sha256:87cf750c65ddcf71The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261012.dce6c6c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
