Create images from a text description, or edit photos and graphics the user provides (remove backgrounds or watermarks, retouch, restyle, in-paint). Can produce multiple variants when the user wants options to choose from.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Use the `media_generate_image` tool via `skill_execute` to create or edit images.
## Modes
- **generate** (default): Create a new image from a text prompt.
- **edit**: Modify an existing image. Requires one or more source images via `source_paths`.
## Models
Do not pass the `model` parameter unless you need a specific tier. Omitting it uses the configured default, which is correct for most requests.
When you do need to choose, use an alias, not a concrete model ID. Aliases always resolve to the current model for that tier:
- `fast`: quickest, good quality (default tier)
- `quality`: higher fidelity, slower
- `openai`: OpenAI's model; most permissive on photo edits
Pass a concrete model ID only if the user names one explicitly. If the tool rejects an unknown model ID, the error lists the currently available models and aliases.

How to install
mdr add vargasjr-dev/mycadet-temp/image-studio@sha256:d2f7d639248558fcThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.09b94d2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
