List this repo's recorded dead ends: approaches already tried and abandoned, with reasons and cost.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

The list above is this repository's recorded dead ends: approaches that were tried
and then reverted or ruled out, newest first, each with the date it was tried, why it
was walked back, and the estimated token cost of the detour. It is produced by the
`dead-end-registry` hook, which mines your transcripts as you work.
Briefly summarize the 1-3 most relevant entries and, if any bear on what the user is
currently doing, gently flag that they have been down this road before. If the list is
empty, just say so. Keep it short; do not re-run any commands.Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add karanb192/claude-code-hooks/dead-ends@sha256:0234782ddfb713c6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260818.caa2d43, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
