Scan project dependencies for vulnerabilities, license issues, and supply chain risks. Use when auditing third-party packages or before releases.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Dependency Vulnerability Scan **Scope**: $ARGUMENTS ## When to Use - Pre-release dependency audit - Investigating CVE advisories - License compliance review - Supply chain risk assessment ## Workflow 1. **Detect language ecosystem** from manifest files 2. **Run appropriate scanner** (see tool matrix) 3. **Check license compliance** against project policy 4. **Identify outdated packages** with known upgrade paths 5. **Assess supply chain risk** indicators 6. **Report findings** in structured format ## Language Tool Matrix | Ecosystem | Manifest | Lock File | Scanner Command | |-----------|----------|-----------|-----------------| | Node.js | `package.json` | `package-lock.json` | `npm audit --json` | | Python | `pyproject.toml` / `requirements.txt` | `uv.lock` / `requirements.txt` | `uv run --with pip-audit pip-audit --skip-editable --format=json` (runs in the project env — bare `uvx pip-audit` audits only its own tool env) | | Rust | `Cargo.toml` | `Cargo.lock` | `cargo audit --json` | | Go | `go.mod` | `go.sum` | `govulncheck ./...` | ## Vulnerability Scan Checklist - [ ] Run ecosystem-specific audit tool - [ ] Cross-reference findings with NVD/GitHub Advisory Database …

How to install
mdr add qte77/claude-code-plugins/scanning-dependencies@sha256:ae49078895148352The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260925.2719add, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
