Use when reviewing utility functions, component props, or template strings that format numbers, prices, or dates to check whether Intl APIs are used correctly.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Use Intl APIs for currency, number, and date formatting Number and currency formatting rules differ significantly across locales — a value formatted as "$1,234.56" in the US is written "1.234,56 $" in Germany and "¥1,235" in Japan. Hardcoded formatting causes incorrect display for international users and is expensive to maintain manually as you add locales. ## Quick Reference - Never hardcode currency symbols or thousand separators like $ or comma - Use Intl.NumberFormat with the currency style for monetary values - Use Intl.DateTimeFormat for locale-aware date and time display - Pass the user locale explicitly rather than relying on the browser default - Use Intl.Collator and locale fallback chains for sorting and searching ## Check Identify all places in this codebase where numbers, currencies, or dates are formatted manually instead of using Intl.NumberFormat or Intl.DateTimeFormat. Also flag locale-sensitive sorting that uses plain string comparison instead of Intl.Collator and any formatter that lacks a fallback locale. ## Fix …

How to install
mdr add thedaviddias/front-end-checklist/currency-formatting@sha256:6c1ee2f3fc395728The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.4b0ddb9, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
