Direct use of CircuitBuilder and SyndromeTracker to construct a custom QEC circuit from scratch — without a pre-built experiment class. Use this skill whenever the user wants to: implement a novel protocol from a paper, chain multiple logical operations with full control over each step, build a circuit that no existing XXXExperiment class covers, or understand how detectors and observables are generated internally.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # CircuitBuilder + SyndromeTracker Direct API
All pre-built experiment classes (`MemoryExperiment`, `CNOTLSExperiment`, etc.) are
thin wrappers around this layer. Use this skill when you need to go below them.
## The mental model

`CircuitBuilder` emits circuit instructions. `SyndromeTracker` maintains the symplectic
tableau (stabilizers + logicals in GF(2)) and decides, at each measurement, whether a
detection event is deterministic (→ DETECTOR) or consumes a logical degree of freedom
(→ OBSERVABLE_INCLUDE). You never write DETECTOR by hand.

How to install
mdr add qutone/lightstim/builder-tracker-api@sha256:5490f24e40ef93abThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260526.75df926, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
