git-history-interval-study SKILL.md skillA
git-history-interval-study from andrewbrown-usda/aigb-skills-usda is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add andrewbrown-usda/aigb-skills-usda/git-history-interval-study@v1Pins v1 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Incrementally studies git history across tagged or pattern-matched intervals (e.g., creation of planning artifacts like EXECUTION_PLAN_N.md, release tags, or milestone commits). Extracts commit diffs, file churn, and subsystem shifts to track feature evolution and architectural convergence, providing structured feeds for ADR distillation.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Git History Interval Study Provides a structured mechanism for studying repository history between marked intervals of interest - such as when new orchestration plans (`planning/EXECUTION_PLAN_N.md`), tags, or architectural milestones are created. By systematically inspecting sequential diffs, commit classifications, and component churn between intervals, this skill identifies features as they develop and are refined over time, gauges architectural convergence, and provides evidence matrices for downstream skills like `adr-distillation`. --- ## 1. When to Use This Skill - **Wave / Plan Transitions**: When tracking architectural changes between successive wave orchestration plans (`EXECUTION_PLAN_1.md` -> `EXECUTION_PLAN_2.md` -> etc.). - **Milestone & Release Evolution**: When analyzing code churn and feature development across Git tags or release branches. - **Architectural Decision Synthesis**: When providing structured, evidence-backed input to `adr-distillation` to document why design decisions were made and how components stabilized. …

How to install
mdr add andrewbrown-usda/aigb-skills-usda/git-history-interval-study@sha256:aaab0ebd9cbf3efdThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
