How to pick the nearest test layer in the whiteboard repo (mcp-node / canvas-viewer-node / canvas-viewer-jsdom / canvas-viewer-browser / web-jsdom / web-browser / E2E), when to reach for a property or model-based test instead of an example, and the commands to run each. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
