Initialize and configure the Operator Project Brain.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Operator Project Setup 1. Run `operator-helper version`. If an update is available, run `operator-helper upgrade` before continuing. 2. Run `operator-helper project init` and follow the emitted Project Setup guide, including when initialization reports failures. For a new conversation to set up the Project Index, tell the user to invoke `/operator:index`. ## Recovery - If Helper cannot start, install or repair the npm package `@aerovato/operator-helper` globally and retry the failed command. - If the version check or upgrade fails, diagnose the error and retry. - If `operator-helper project init` reports a failure, use its output to resolve it and rerun it as needed. - If you cannot resolve a problem, report the blocker. Use Helper output as working context. Do not reproduce it wholesale or reimplement Helper logic.

How to install
mdr add aerovato/operator-memory/project-init@sha256:fe8cffc69ee0e137The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261003.aa81d54, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
