wave-execution-planner SKILL.md skillA
wave-execution-planner from pantheon-org/tekhne is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/wave-execution-planner@v1.0.0Pins v1.0.0 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Groups plan phases and tasks into dependency-ordered waves for parallel subagent execution via git worktrees. Builds a task dependency DAG, assigns wave numbers via topological sort, emits a living wave document that tracks status as work lands, and updates wave progress when tasks complete. Use when asked to: group tasks into waves, plan parallel execution, schedule worktrees, create a wave breakdown, wave planning, dependency grouping, update wave statuses, parallel subagents, which tasks…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Wave Execution Planner Groups tasks into dependency-ordered waves so multiple subagents can work concurrently in isolated git worktrees. ## Core Principles - **Waves enforce ordering, not scheduling** — a wave boundary exists only where a real dependency forces sequential execution. Parallel is the default. - **One branch per parallel workstream** — each phase in a parallel wave gets its own branch and worktree; agents never share a working tree. - **The wave document is the source of truth** — status lives in the wave plan, not scattered across individual task files. - **Gates before advancing** — ALWAYS verify the current wave fully passes before starting the next one. A broken wave in production is harder to debug than a delayed start. …

How to install
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/wave-execution-planner@sha256:730fec4654a2764fThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
