# CLAUDE.md This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository. ## What this is A package manager for AI coding-agent skills — npm/Homebrew, but the install target is N heterogeneous coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) rather than one runtime. That single fact drives the whole architecture. Deep background lives in [ARCHITECTURE.md](ARCHITECTURE.md) (how the code is shaped and why) and [DESIGN.md](DESIGN.md) (the artefacts: manifest, registry protocol, adapter contract, CLI UX). How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
