apple-container SKILL.md skillA
This file is byte-identical to the first copy the registry indexed. Same content hash, so the same checks give both the same grade.
apple-container from francostino/opencode-skills-collection is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Build, run, and manage OCI/Linux containers as lightweight per-container VMs on Apple-silicon macOS using Apple's open-source container CLI, no Docker daemon required.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Apple `container` ## When to Use - Use when building, running, or managing OCI/Linux containers on Apple-silicon macOS with Apple's open-source `container` CLI - Use when you want lightweight per-container VMs instead of a Docker daemon - Use when translating Docker-style workflows (build, run, exec, logs, networking) to Apple's container tooling Apple's `container` is an open-source CLI for building, running, and managing OCI/Linux containers on Apple-silicon Macs. Each container runs inside its own lightweight virtual machine (backed by the Containerization framework and the Virtualization API), so there is no shared daemon like Docker — services run per-user via `launchd`. Images are standard OCI artifacts, so they interoperate with Docker registries and other OCI tooling. The CLI is deliberately Docker-like (`container run`, `container build`, and image ops under `container image push`/`pull`), but it is a distinct tool: do not assume Docker command paths, flags, defaults, or daemon behavior carry over (e.g. there is no `container images`/`push`/`pull` top-level command — image verbs live under `container image`). ## Safety Gate …

How to install
mdr add francostino/opencode-skills-collection/apple-container@sha256:d0548efd7dfebf99The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260715.fcfce3c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
