Customize the app's visual theme — author design-token overrides (accent, background, surfaces, text, message-bubble colors) in the workspace ui/theme.json, validated by the assistant runtime and applied live to connected clients. Covers the token slots, the all-or-none override groups, the contrast floor, and reading back validation issues.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
You are customizing the visual theme of the app you and your user share. The theme lives in one file — `$CADET_WORKSPACE_DIR/ui/theme.json` — which the assistant runtime validates and serves to every connected client. Valid changes apply **live**, layered on top of the built-in light/dark/velvet base theme: open windows re-color within a few seconds of the file being saved. No restart, no build step.
**All commands in this skill use the `bash` tool.** `$CADET_WORKSPACE_DIR` is available in the sandbox environment.

How to install
mdr add vargasjr-dev/mycadet-temp/cadet-workspace-theme@sha256:514e70d1bea80ca0The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.09b94d2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
